Privacy notice

MusicToMP3 is designed to work without user accounts. This notice explains the limited information processed when you use the website.

Information processed

When you preview content, the service processes the public Spotify URL you submit and the public metadata returned for that link. When you start a download, it also processes your format choices and the track identifiers needed to complete the job.

Like most web services, the server may receive technical request data such as your IP address, browser user agent, requested path, timestamp, and error details. IP addresses are also used in memory to enforce request limits and protect service availability.

Files and retention

Audio, cover artwork, and archive files created for a job are temporary. Under the current default configuration, job files expire about one hour after they are created, and cached track files are kept for at most seven days inside a fixed cache budget of 5 GB — whichever limit is reached first. Nothing is published as a browsable library, and retention settings may be adjusted to keep the service reliable.

Standard infrastructure logs may be retained separately by the hosting operator for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. MusicToMP3 does not require an account profile to associate with those requests.

Third-party services

To perform a request, MusicToMP3 may contact Spotify-hosted pages and media providers used to locate an available audio match. Those providers process requests under their own terms and privacy practices.

The website code does not currently include advertising pixels or analytics cookies. If that changes, this notice should be updated before those tools are enabled.

Your choices

Do not submit a link if you do not want it processed. Closing the page stops browser-side activity, but a job already submitted may continue until it completes, fails, is cancelled, or expires. Avoid placing personal information in URLs or other submitted fields.
